Biography
The second (and last) child of Lachecthel and Nilvanya, Esslar is a stark contrast to his brother Garaf. While Garaf was roaming Rhovanion beside their father, Esslar took up poetry and riddles and art with their mother. Since Lachecthel died from a goblin arrow while Esslar was still fairly young, Esslar never developed as strong an attachment to the man as his brother. As a result, while Garaf had grown up as the consumate Warder, Esslar is very much a pacifist.
Since Esslar relocated to the Shire (Brothers of Mirkwood) much of his time has been spent curating the Library of the Randirim, managing the fields and crops from which he has earned his wealth, and various benevolent endeavors he's undertaken personally.
Appearance
Shorter than his brother but still taller than the average elf, Esslar is exceedingly thin. The long years of labor no more arduous than the turning of pages and the playing of flutes have proven insufficient for giving him any sort of stature that might be considered mighty. His hair and eyes are of a shade of gray light enough that it might truly be called silver. He is fond of wearing light blues and avoids carrying any sorts of weapons or armor (aside from the occasional walking stick anyway).
