Hobbits like green eggs and ham
Yes they do, Samwise I am,
We eats them for dinner and for lunch
We will even eat them when having brunch.

I will eat them with Pippin and Merry
I will eat them on the Brandywine Ferry
I will eat them with Tom Bombadil
I will eat them ‘til I’ve had my fill.

Will you eat them at Rivendell
The elves will ask you to sit for a spell.
Gandalf eats them with his toast
Boromir ate them, as a boast.

Balrog eggs may not be nice
In caverns full of fire and ice
When “fly you fools” rings out again
Drop your eggs and flee, to gain
A distance from these orcs you see
They don’t appreciate eggs like me.

But truly eggs of any colour
Will enhance a hobbit’s pallour
For within a box without hinges, door or lid,
A golden treasure inside is hid.
